October is National Spina Bifida Awareness Month! Throughout this month, 180 Medical will be dedicating this time to heighten awareness about Spina Bifida, along with discussing some of the great resources we have available for those living with spina bifida and intermittently catheterizing.
Currently, over 166,000 Americans are living with spina bifida, which is the number one permanently-disabling birth defect in the United States. It is considered a congenital development disorder that occurs when the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) does not form as it normally would in the womb during pregnancy.
180 Medical is proud to be a sponsor of the Spina Bifida Association’s Education Days in 2013, which are affordable, life-changing events that offer support and bring up-to-date information and education. 180 Medical’s regional territory manager for Utah and Nevada, Jason, will be in attendance at the upcoming event on October 5, 2013, in Salt Lake City, UT at the Primary Children’s Medical Center, so come by and meet him!
We’d love for you to join us and the Spina Bifida Association (SBA) in spreading awareness about this condition! There are various Walk-N-Roll© events held for SBA throughout the month. For a full list
of events and locations, please click here for more info.
