180 Medical is proud to have been a sponsor at the second annual Nevada Walk-N-Roll® for Spina Bifida event at Floyd Lamb Park in Las Vegas, NV, that occurred on November 16, 2013. Our Nevada territory manager Jason attended as well!

The Spina Bifida Association’s family-friendly Walk-N-Roll® events are held to raise awareness about this condition and to honor everyone with Spina Bifida. Participants can walk or roll in their wheelchair along the non-competitive one-mile distance. The donations/proceeds from these events support the local Spina Bifida community programs and services. This event alone raised over $14,000!

Spina Bifida is a congenital developmental disorder characterized by the incomplete closure of the neural tube – also known as a neural tube defect (NTD) – which occurs when the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) does not form normally in the womb during the early stages of pregnancy. This leaves some vertebrae of the spinal open, and occasionally there is also a fluid-filled sac on the spinal cord. Often, those affected by this condition have limited ability to walk and many are in wheelchairs. To learn more, please see our article at
