A coudé catheter is a urinary catheter with a slightly curved tip designed for easy insertion for people with urinary tract obstructions. Generally, coudé catheters are used to pass strictures, enlarged prostates, or false passages.
There are three main types of coudé catheters available:
- Olive tip
- Tapered tip
- Tiemann tip
