What are the Features of the CompactCath Catheter?
- Both men and women can use this unisex catheter, which is 16 inches long when uncoiled
- The CompactCath catheter features a unique, discreet design that doesn’t look like a typical catheter, helping you stay discreet and private. It’s also small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
- The sheath contains silicone oil that lubricates the entire length of the catheter. This reduces friction and urethral irritation.
- CompactCath’s plastic case and hygiene sheath work together to create a sterile environment for no-touch insertion.
- The case features a control handle to hold the catheter in place. This also prevents it from coiling back into the case during insertion.
- Polished eyelets and a smooth surface coating provide easy, comfortable insertion and withdrawal.
- Flow control funnel: The funnel design prevents urine from flowing until the user is ready to drain, providing full control.
How to Use CompactCath Catheters
- Prepare by washing your hands, using a disinfecting wipe, and/or putting on gloves for additional protection.
- Peel open the pouch and remove the catheter. No need to pinch the body of the case, because this restricts the free movement of the wheel and can prevent the catheter from pulling out. Hold it by the rim.
- Advance the catheter tube by pressing down on the handle and gliding the sheath out until the catheter reaches your bladder.
- Once your bladder is empty, aim the catheter in the desired receptacle and unplug the funnel by pushing it outwards to drain.
- After catheterizing, simply coil the catheter back inside the case and dispose of it discreetly and hygienically.
