Confirmations Employee Spotlight: Meet Elise

elise and rachel confirmations specialists
Elise (left) & Rachel (right) are two of our awesome ladies in the Confirmations department at 180 Medical.

We love taking time to recognize employees for all the amazing work they do at 180 Medical.

Elise, one of our Confirmations Team Supervisors, is a compassionate person who loves helping others. She’s definitely a great example of the 180 Way, and we’d love for you to get to know her!

Elise, how long have you been a part of the 180 Medical family now?

I’ve been with 180 Medical for over 2 years now! I started as a Confirmations Specialist and was recently promoted to a Team Supervisor in our Confirmations Department.

During your time here so far, how has 180 Medical helped you in your professional development?

I’ve grown SO much since starting my career at 180 Medical! I’ve really had the opportunity to branch out and learn from so many different areas within the company, all with the same focus of taking the best care of our customers.

What is the best part of working at 180 Medical to you?

I love the opportunity to work in a team environment. Having open communication and the ability to bounce ideas off of each other promotes individual and companywide growth. I love coming to work every day and feeling like I’m with my second family.

Also, it’s just so much fun to be here and take part in some of the 180 Medical traditions, like the Lip Sync Battles at our Quarterly Meetings. I especially love our annual Halloween costume contest!

What are some of the main responsibilities of employees in the Confirmations Department?

Our department is important because we contact our customers about 7-14 days before their regularly scheduled orders to make sure they’re ready. This way, we don’t ever supply more than they need at a time, and we also make sure they’re not running out of their much-needed supplies.

A large part of what we do is based on insurance requirements, which is all a part of staying accredited and following the guidelines that help our customers.

We also help out with account changes, like updating their address or even requesting updated prescriptions if they find they need more catheters each month.

Tell us a bit about life outside of work.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my son. We’re usually at the baseball field and will soon be at the ice arena since he’s decided he wants to play hockey! I love to binge watch Netflix, travel when I can, and spend time with my friends in Dallas/Fort Worth. I’ve recently fallen in love with going to the gym too.

Recently, my best friend and I have decided to make it a goal to take a trip to Europe together for our next milestone birthday.

Jessica is the Sr. Marketing Specialist at 180 Medical, and she has been with the company for over 14 years now. She loves getting to be creative in her role and hearing from customers about the positive impact we've made on their lives.

Outside of work, you can find her hanging out with her husband and their dogs or browsing garden centers (where she will almost certainly buy another houseplant she doesn't really need).
