We're honored to offer an annual scholarship program for full-time college students with specific medical conditions. See if you qualify.
The 180 Medical Scholarship Program is open to full-time college students living with specific medical conditions, including spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, transverse myelitis, neurogenic bladder, bladder exstrophy, or an ostomy.
Because we understand that these conditions often come with additional financial challenges, this program is our way of giving back. We're honored to invest in the future of students who have personally faced adversity and hope to make a positive impact on others through their career goals.

Applications for the 2027 scholarship will be accepted January 1 through June 1.
How to Apply for the 180 Medical Scholarship
The 180 Medical Scholarship application period is from January 1 to June 1 each year. We’ll announce the recipients of this year’s scholarship in August.
We are not accepting applications at this time; please wait until the next application period.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible, applicants must be:
- A legal resident of the United States
- Accepted to a two-year, four-year, or graduate school program full-time in the fall of the year of application
Please note that we are unable to accept applications for students enrolled in medical school.
Also, applicants must be under a physician's care for one of the following conditions:
- Spinal cord injury
- Spina bifida
- Transverse myelitis
- Bladder exstrophy
- Neurogenic bladder
- Ostomy (ileostomy, colostomy, and/or urostomy)
Any other medical conditions not listed here (e.g., scoliosis, etc.) are not eligible to apply.
Scholarship Awards
We offer seven $1,000 college scholarships annually to seven recipients.
When is the 180 Medical Scholarship Deadline?
We accept applications for each year from January 1 to June 1.

For more than 15 years, the 180 Medical College Scholarship Program has helped students living with specific medical conditions, such as spina bifida, spinal cord injuries, and ostomies, continue their education and pursue their goals.
Since our scholarship program began in 2012, we've awarded more than $100,000 to deserving students across the country, each with their own unique experiences, stories, and hopes for their future careers.

The 180 Medical Scholarship Program was started by 180 Medical’s Founder, Todd Brown, who lives with a spinal cord injury after a motocross accident in 1994.
